What is a Short Deck Holdem Odds Calculator?

6+ Holdem Odds Calculator is a tool that allows you to quickly calculate the winning chances of specific poker hands against each other in the Short Deck Holdem game type. Set hole cards for two players and you'll instantly see their odds to win. It's also possible to add more players. So you can easily calculate the equity of all hands in a multi-way pot. If you set the community cards, the calculator will show you the odds on a specific street.

So, with our 6+ calculator, you can easily check the odds for any hands on any street from Pre-flop to River.

How are The Odds Calculated?

Odds (or Equity) are the mathematical probability of winning the hand, given that all players will reach Showdown. For example, if you have 60% equity, it means that if you and your opponent open the cards right now and the remaining streets are dealt, you'd win the pot 60% of the time, on average. So the calculations are fully relevant only for all-in situations. If you're not all-in yet, it's not guaranteed that you won't fold your hand against your opponent's aggression on later streets. So for that scenario, you should take into account the equity realization factor.

6+ Holdem Equity Examples

Let's take a look at two examples of equity calculation for the typical situations in the Short Deck game. The most classic Pre-flop coin flip is A♠K♦ vs J♥T♥. Both players have almost identical chances to win the hand:

The typical postflop all-in scenario is set vs straight, for example, T♦T♣ vs 9♠8♠ on the T♥J♦Q♦ board. The set of tens is a slight favorite here with 54% equity.
