How to Use the PLO 5 Odds Calculator?

The 5 Card Omaha Odds Calculator is intuitively easy to use. To begin, enter the 5 hole cards for each player (up to 6 players) and the community cards (optional). You can input 3 to 5 community cards depending on the current street (flop, turn, and river)

The calculator shows the winning odds (equity) for each hand at any point in the game. Simply input the required information, and it will calculate the equity for all players.

Poker Odds and Equity

Poker odds, or hand equity, refer to the statistical chance of your hand winning the pot based on your hole cards and the board (community cards). For example, if your hand has 60% equity, you’re expected to win the pot 60% of the time, on average.

It is important that the calculator assumes all players will go to showdown and fully realize their equity. Therefore, when everyone is all-in, the calculated equity is fully relevant, as there will be no further folds.

PLO 5 Card Equity Calculation Example

Consider the spot where you hold K♠K♦4♣3♠2♦ your opponent has 9♠9♦8♣7♠5♦. According to our PLO5 Odds Calculator, your equity is approximately 60% compared to your opponent’s 40%. This means that if both of you go all-in pre-flop, you would win the pot 60% of the time on average.

Now, suppose you have the same hands, but this time the action is on the flop Q♥J♠T♠. The equity of the hands will change significantly. According to the calculator, your equity drops to 31% due to the made straight in your opponent’s hand. So, if you both go all-in at this point, you would win the pot 31% of the time on average.
